The governing bodies

The coordination committee is DEFF's overall responsible and interministerial body. Apart from the ministerial commissioners, the chairman of the steering committee and representatives from the DEFF Secretariat participate in the meetings.

The steering committee is responsible for the formulation of DEFF's strategy and actual activities.

The DEFF Secretariat, which is housed by the The Danish Agency for Culture, coordinates the daily work and services both the Steering Committee and the Coordination Committee.

Four programme groups monitor DEFF's large domain of interest, initiate projects (based on subsequent steering committee approval) and coordinate projects across the groups and with DEFF Licenses. The exact subject interest of the groups change with each new steering committee multi-year term. Past and present groups can be seen under "Projects" in the menu above.
