The DEFF Secretariat

Introduction

As described in the National Budget, the Danish Agency for Culture is responsible for the DEFF Secretariat. The aim is to establish a close connection between the Agency's overall initiatives and the work in DEFF.

Head of department, Bo Öhrström, has the day-to-day responsibility for DEFF. The Secretariat's fields of responsibility include administration of projects, the web site as well as servicing the Steering Committee and the Coordination Committee. DEFF Licenses is organisationally part of the Secretariat.

The secretariat is composed of 10 members of staff. Six members of staff work primarily with national infrastructure. Four members of the secretariat work primarily with financial matters, administration, and service to the Steering Committee and project management.

The Agency's legal consultant assists in contractual negotiations and deals with legal issues, while the Agency's communication unit supports DEFF's communication activities.
